Last night we went to Galaxy Cinemas to watch "The Girl Next Door". It was a funny movie, and it felt kinda weird yet exciting to watch it with the girls. After the movie we went to Victoria Park in Kitchener. I had never been. The weather was real nice, although a bit chilly coz I was only wearing a shirt. I took a few pictures. Here they are.
Barobax.net's first Video feed is the famous canoe flip of Hamed & Armaghan. Thanks to Saeed for this beautiful video capture and funny comments! Hope you enjoy.

Welcome to the new Barobax.net! I will briefly explain what has changed and then introduce the things that will come in the short future.
My favorite new feature is the comments. Now it is very easy for all of you to post comments regarding my posts and read others' comments too. I'd love to hear what you think about the things I say. So go ahead and leave a comment by clicking on the comments link under each post.
The second new feature is archives. I did have "manual" archiving before, but now it is automated, which means every new post is automatically archived. This way not only I maintaing a history, but it is also possible for you to link to one specific post. Simply click on the "date posted" under each post.
The third feature which will hopefully make my life way easier is dynamic pictures page, which means pictures are loaded from a MySQL database. This will make uploading pictures easier for me, and also it would be easier to manage them, so if someone asks me to delete a photo it is now easier to do so.
The fourth feature is web-based blogging system. The system is a MovableType engine that I've installed on my server, which allows me to do blogging directly from a browser. This will allow me to update my site no matter where I am, it is easy and fast. So let's say I'm in DC library and there's something important to say, then I can simply log on from one of the computers there and update my site.
These four and the enlarged "Latest Barobax Shot" formerly known as week photo along with the new titles and headers is all that is ready and operational now. I've called it BETA because there might be bugs here and there, so please help me fix them if you notice something's not working properly.
The following pages are under construction. They will be updated or become dynamic/database operated soon:

I hope you like the new looks, don't forget to leave a comment and tell me what you think. Thanks.
I am currently working on the new Barobax.net. I am hoping that in a few hours I'd be able to reveal to you parts of the new look. Along with it I will upload the promised cottage pictures. Stay tuned and watch my MSN status for updates ;)
There's a lot to say about our trip to Grand Bend and our stay at the cottage in Pinery. However, it's 2:43 AM and it's not the best time to talk about it. I know a lot of people are waiting for the pictures though, so here I have put up 3 batches. These are photos from my camera, Saeed's and Shaghayegh's. There are 185!!!! pictures in this album. Yes we did take a lot of pictures, and they are so awesome. I will update the site again tomorrow, with more details regarding our trip, and I will also upload the pictures from Hamed's camera and hopfully Payam's camera very soon. Most importantly, stay tuned for Barobax.net's first streaming video of an amazing not-to-be-missed moment caught on Camera by Saeed. ;)
God bless you Barobax.

Thanks to Mahdi for the link.
Navid, then Mohammad, and finally Naemeh's Birthday in the past week. Lotsa of fun, very good times, and awesome pictures.
So many pictures were taken last night. Combination of Hamed's and my camera after taking out the bad ones is 91 pictures. They were mostly good. Sanam and Shaghayegh also took some pictures, and if they send it, I will put them up. Last night was fun.
However, this morning I woke up with nothing but QUEST on my mind. So I immediately jumped out of my bed and logged on to our lovely course management system, and clicked on Course/Grade History. Praying that I'd be able to pull up my average to the mid 80s, I realized that I have a 76, an 80 and an 82. From what I did last term and these marks it pretty much seems like that I am totally STUCK on 81. Now these marks are good, I am not acting like a nerd, but the bitter truth is that if they stay this way, it would make it hard for me to make into *good* Canadian grad schools like U of T. U.S. is obviously easier coz they suck all your money! Anyhow, I'm a little pissed off, but overall it's okay, so I'm not TOO pissed off. I am promising myself, that next term, I work a little harder. PROMISE!
I am still excited though, about the things to come, very very soon we'll have to go shopping for the cottage, and the ultimate fun. Along with that, I am still working on Barobax, which keeps me busy and entertained :D
Okay now, people are waiting for this to go up right now, so I'll cut it right here. chaX.
There are a lot of birthdays around this time among the barobax all around, I shall save the surprises, and call it when we celebrate! ;) Weather's beautiful. It is raining outside, and it feels great to sit behind the window and look outside at dark clouds being moved by the wind. 12:15 and I just got up, I will continue to work on the new look for Barobax and also upload last night's pictures. The new look will be based on a blogging engine called Movable Type, Hamed had read about it on Hossein Derakhshan's blog and I am giving it a shot. It is basically a not so complex web-based interface to insert predefined tags within your html code, which will modulate your blogs. So each time, Movable Type parses the templates and replaces them with what should go there. The interface isn't friendly, mainly because it is barely graphical. There are only very few buttons, and the rest is just code, which makes it difficult to initiate. Hopefuly, by the time I manage to finish the templates, I'd be able to blog much easier and faster. I'd be able to simply enter everything through a browser, so I don't have to be home to update my site, and also it makes it faster because I won't be wasting time formatting the pages or archiving them, it will be done automatically. For those of you who are blogging freaks and have the time, I suggest you give it a shot.
I'll have to figure out a similar method for the photo albums. I know Ali B. has written scripts to do something like it, and I will probably be learning from him.
Hamed just got home, and he's so happy he's done exams! Narges offlined me that she'll be watching a movie tonight one of Monster Inc. or Shrek. If it's Monster Inc. I'm up for it! ALRIGHT! This is getting long and boring, so I'll end it right here. chaX.
I ran to my backyard and for just a second I felt like Mel Gibson in "Braveheart" and I went: "FREEEEEEEEEEDOMMMM!!!!".
Three weeks of hell came to an end today, on this cheerful afternoon of April 19, two thousand and four! I am very very excited. Good things are happening, and excitement (what I'd die for) is all around. I hope it stays this way. I am very excited to continue working on Barobax for it's new look and features, and hopefully you'll be seeing it part by part as it is being uncovered. There are so many topics to talk about, the cottage, Gmail, My driving licence, 4 month break, Barobax.net T-Shirts, the barobax themselves and many many more! Stay tuned people.
I shall not forget to wish the best for those of barobax who aren't done exams: Ashkan, Hamed, Payam, Pouyan, Nastaran, Narges, Anoush, Ehsan, Negin, Ali, Armaghan…and the rest of barobax whose exam schedule is unknown to me.
Heat of finals is on. Today is April 7, and the next 12 days will be the days of hell. On April 19, partying begins for me. Updates fall from the sky and the promise of a new look for BarobaX.net transforms into reality. Good luck to all of us on these hellish days. Let the warmth of the day-dream on cottage days energize your spirit.
