Comments: Birthday/Election Update

I think taking refuge in your happy place is sometimes necessary for keeping your peace and sanity.

But overall, if you are unhappy with the way things are, you stop hiding in your little world, and try to find ways (even if subtle ones) to fight for change.

(This was just a comment about the fore-mentioned philosophy. I wasn't meant to be related it to the U.S. elections, since most of us couldn't vote anyways and were just hoping that those who could would make a good decision. )

and what half the people of US did on monday was exactly to make their own small worlds beautiful, while remaining happily ignorant of the unpleasant realities in the bigger world.

Hopefully, I'll read the article some time soon. Meanwhile, I agree with both sisters! Have fun with the paradox.

What if my “small beautiful world” is placed in a part of the world where it might get bombed by the BIG people chosen by the wrong crowd?

I'm actually starting to like Bush! It is an article by Nima Rashedan who believes that Bush does a good job. Check it link out: http://www.rashedan.com/archives/000045.html
